Terrific response for free German Fertility camp

A Free German Fertility Camp was held on 7th March 2013 at our center for the benefit of infertile couple of Hyderabad. We had a terrific response. Dr. Michael Dumschat, a German doctor with more than 10 yeras of experience in reproductive medicine, had attended to all the patients.
More than a 100 infertile couples have attended the camp and were given the benefit of expertise advice by Dr. Michael Dumschat along with our core fertility specialist, Dr.Nirmala Agarwal.
Consulting with the German Infertility Experts who bring the worldwide experience to the table – is one of the key USP of Juhi Fertility Center.

IVF Pioneer Sir Robert Geoffrey Edwards
Professor Sir Robert Geoffrey Edwards, CBE, FRS the British physiologist and pioneer in reproductive medicine and in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) passed away on 10 April 2013. With this ends an era of IVF or Test Tube babies – a revolution in reproductive medicine which Sir Robert Geoffrey Edwards created along with surgeon Patrick Steptoe.
The first test-tube baby, Louise Brown was born on 25 July 1978. Sir Robert Geoffrey Edwards was awarded the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine “for the development of in vitro fertilization”. [Read more…]

An article by Dr. Nirmala Agrawal has been published in leading Indian Medical publication – Modern Medicare. The article titled “Focussing on infertility: Understanding the causes and treatment options” was published in March, 2013 issue of online and print publication.
The article was about focusing on infertility, understanding causes and treatment options. Infertility is a common problem affecting one couple in six. The evidence for changes in the prevalence of infertility is difficult to establish. This increase could be due to at least four factors: delayed childbearing, alterations in semen quality due to habits such as cigarette smoking and alcohol, changes in sexual behavior and eliminations of most taboos.

Key to Success in IUI Camp Organized by Juhi Fertility Center

Key to Success in IUI (intrauterine insemination) CME Camp was organized at KOGSI Karimnagar, Andhra Pradesh by Juhi Fertility Center Hyderabad on 16 September 2012. Dr. Nirmala Agrawal, M.D. D.G.O., Certified IVF specialist, Cleveland, USA & lead Fertility Specialist at Juhi Fertility Center was the speaker during the camp.

The camp has drawn a very good response with more than 50 participants attentively attending the Camp. The Questions and Answers session at the end of camp was very interactive with participants asking wide range of questions on Intra Uterine Insemination or IUI Treatment.
The key takeaway from the camp was insights into Key success factors during the IUI (intrauterine insemination) for infertility treatment.

On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day (May 31st) it is important to think about the affect of Smoking on Fertility. Smoking causes Infertility in both men and women – a fact that has been affirmed by many studies and research papers worldwide.
Although it is difficult to single out smoking as the cause of infertility; it is observed that tobacco smokers are more likely to have have fertility issues as compared to non-smokers.
